No you can't change your font per se although there may be an app I'm not aware of. Symbol changing is easy. Hit the button marked ';.?123'; in the lower left hand corner of keyboard.
You can download chompSMS from the market it lets you do a bunch of customizations.

You can put any colour, or just google 'Colour Hex Codes' and you'll get a wide variety of colours.



To change the size -

change the number to whatever you want.



To change the font -

%26lt;font face=';Times New Roman';%26gt;Your text here%26lt;/font%26gt;

Change to whatever font you want, like Georgia, Arial, Verdana whatever.

to stop and start bold text.

Strikeout

I agree, Where do you set the font size so that every time you click compose and type text it will always come up in the color and font that i set as the default one.

In options on the mail page enter preferences and enable compose in color and graphics. You will have a toolbar in compose and signature.
